They say that only the ones that escape the fire may taste the hot grease of the frying pan, which is a lot like model casting. Going from interviews to auditions, to photo shoots is like going through a very long and drawn out trial of fire. You only really start cooking once you get to the photo shoots, but while you're interviewing and model casting, you still feel like you getting your ass burned!
Is it just a dreamy, luxurious ride all the time, and model casting isn't as stressful and draining as has been described here? Do the new girls on the set have survival tactics that they implement to see them through the long, arduous months of fruitless model casting they sometimes have to go through before getting any work?
What is the difference? As long as your model casting experiences don't consist entirely of being told you're too fat and that you need to consider a new career, it can't be so bad. Even if it is and you have nightmares of a tsunami coming and sweeping you away in the middle of what you thought was going to be your first successful model casting endeavor, don't despair little soldier, you must be strong to battle pure evil!
